Introduction to Peter Sloterdijk: the living legacy of his thought
Abstract
Peter Sloterdijk is an awkward and unclassifiable thinker. On the occasion of his 70th birthday, the German and Continental European academic world got together to pay tribute to a living thinker whose work underpins a legacy of profound philosophical, esthetic and political implications. What do we know about Peter Sloterdijk, his work, and those who engaged in intellectual dialogue with him? This paper aims at contextualizing the German philosopher’s thought from the critique of culture standpoint, exploring questions about his personality, his temper, and his reactions to concrete historical problems.Downloads
