Abstract

In this paper I argue about how the analysis
of textual memory cannot limit it to
its mere social meanings; in other words,
about how remembrance would possibly
not be just a discursive effect. Memory
would not, therefore, completely exhaust
its performative density in shared frames
of interpretation. To illustrate the point, I
have chosen an autofiction by the Mexican
writer Julián Herbert, Canción de tumba,
published in 2011.
